Graduated college 2 years ago (psyc), and have worked as an ESL teacher since then. Lots of hours volunteering and working for non-profits (always in human services) but no clinical experience.
I'm taking the prereqs for med school now, and should be applying in 2 years.
I can either work full-time as an orthodontic assistant (tons of clinical experience here), leaving little time for studying or volunteer work, or I can accept a part-time ESL teacher position which pays more (per hour, but not overall) and leaves me much more time to devote to volunteer work (at a hospital). Which would you do?
