Hey all, i would greatly appreciate any comments on which dental schools i should/shouldn't apply to this year. I reside in Florida. List:

New York University
Nova Southeastern University
University of Southern California
Tufts University
LeCOM
Boston University
University of Florida
University of the Pacific
A.T. Still University
Temple University

Strongly Considering
Western University

Maybe
University of Michigan

my Stats:
-3rd year undergrad
-Ogpa=3.0 Sgpa=3.0 but i have lots of A's during my last 4 semesters (including upper level science and core science requirements)
-DAT=in july (maybe 22-23 AA)
-Pre-dent Eboard position
-Dental tech experience (my dad owns a dental lab so lots of exposure)
-bilingual Hispanic/US citizen
-100 hrs shadowing
-vast knowledge in technology
-very creative (i actually play various instruments and produce music as a hobby)
-Lots of volunteering at Nova dental school.

The problem is that neither of you have taken the DAT yet. The honest reality is that DAT and GPAs are the most important criteria. You could try asking this question in the pre-dent forum, but you will probably hear the same thing.

Michael...both GPAs are a little low. Not abysmal, but borderline. A great DAT is what you need. ECs look fine. As a Hispanic applicant, you may have a little advantage, especially at programs which value and cater to minority groups.

BlackP...science GPA is a little low. You also need a strong DAT performance. ECs look fine.
