If I am moving and will no longer be practicing in certain hospitals for which I am currently working, do I need to withdraw my hospital privileges at those hospitals so I don't have them suspended for inactivity?

I heard this rumor and haven't really been able to find solid evidence for it. Do anyone have any experience with this?

I've never heard of that being an issue. I think you just tell the credentialing people when you're leaving, and you're good.

Yep. Not an issue there.

Also keep their addresses handy; everywhere I've ever worked has asked if I've "ever relinquished hospital privileges voluntarily or involuntarily" and wanted contacts/reason.

Just tell 'em it was for residency & you're good.
