Hey everyone! So I'm rethinking if I should do a work/study program while in my 1st year. I originally put yes on my FASFA application but now that I think about it, I don't know if it will be beneficial to me. I have never done a work study program before.

I just received my financial aid info and from what I understand, what I am getting, 1k a semester, it is just deducted from my max loan amount. So in reality, the financial gain is only 3k a year (including summer). Does anybody have any recommendations?

Edit: Will be a first year at AZPOD

You don't have to work if you don't want to. Most would not suggest working during the first two years of basic science courses.

I always put that I am willing to do work study just in case I might want to do something. Finances are crazy in your first year because you are trying to figure it out. Go talk to your financial adviser and get some advice.
