I have started a house call podiatry practice and am considering sending a copy of the visit note to the primary care provider after each visit. Would this be a nuisance, or appreciated? What format would be best (fax, mail, etc.)? Thanks for any replies!

I think most people would appreciate it. I can't imagine anyone thinking that it was an annoyance. As for the format, fax would certainly be cheaper from your end, given the cost of postage nowadays. Plus, some people have electronic fax integrated with their EHR, so it could potentially save them from having to re-scan the note.

This is an excellent idea, especially for VBC. Your note saves me the hassle of adding the annual diabetic foot exam documentation to my note. I love saving time. Just saying. I wish all our podiatrists did this so easily.

I would also appreciate it.

We have our own pharmacy, and if I am not informed of med changes by a specialist by the pt or the specialist themselves, I will end up continuing the same meds.
