Marino is a classic. You can't really go wrong with it.

Marini was a mechanical engineer is a prior life and he's brings some of that sort of thinking to how he approaches the ICU, especially the ventilator. So. Maybe if you think more along those lines you might like his book better?

To be honest I think the ICU is best learned bed side case to case. I have a hard time seriously recommending any book too hard. But that's me.
