Is anybody else interested in applying for the PCAT? I indicated my interest on the secondary, but I'm wondering if we have the opportunity to discuss it in the interview or at what point we would be considered.

completed 7/13 radio silence

I dont think they reviewed your apps in a chronological order. I completed on 7/1 but saw ppl completed around 7/7-7/12 getting IIs first. Then they start to circle back to those who completed late June-early July. If you scrolled back up you'll see the trend 😀! I hope you hear back soon.

I indicated interest in this program too! I think it would be appropriate to ask during an interview if you have a specific question about the program. Especially if you get paired with faculty member whose speciality is a primary care one. Although definitely look at the PCAT website to make sure any questions you may ask are not found on the website. Hope this helps!

For those who are interviewing on Monday, has anyone received the zoom link yet?

Congrats to all those receiving IIs!! Still haven't submitted but I feel my app lacks clinical exposure (0 shadowing but I scribed), should I discuss my gap year (have a lot of shadowing) for prompt #3 instead of a research essay that touches on qualities in their mission statement? Would appreciate anyone's input on this

I can only speak for my own application, but I received a II without any shadowing experience and with most of my clinical experience coming from scribing. I also focused on research for 2 of the secondary prompts like you were considering. Every application is different and unique though so take what I said with a grain of salt, what worked for me might or might not necessarily work for you too. Good luck 🙂

Thanks! What were your stats if you don't mind me asking? Also I only have around ~200 hrs of clinical so that's why I was somewhat worried. But I do feel like scribing can count as shadowing(?)

MCAT 513, cGPA 3.65. Not sure if schools count scribing as shadowing, I think I've heard both ways. Let's hope it does since we have 0 shadowing experience 🤪

My beautiful friends who are interviewing today/this week, please do share your experiences and how you thought it went overall (conversational, scripted, stress, etc)! It will be very helpful for us!!

Interviewed today. It was low stress and conversational! Good luck to everyone.
did u get matched with an interviewer in ur selected specialty? how long did it tend to run for the actual interview portion?

Alsdkjflsjdflk I haven't heard from them since I completed my app on 8/1.....should I expect an R at this point

I'll be interviewing on 8/26/22. I'll be wearing a blue tie and I'm Hispanic, so if you're interviewing on that day, look for me! I'll also be updating this thread with how the interview is structured, the small group activity, any acceptance/interview statistics if given in the power point, and other tidbits of info. I love you all! <3

When did people receive emails after the interview that allows you to give feedback about the process and also has all the contact information of the interviewers?

It's in the portal under the interview evaluation tab! Not sure about contact info though
