MBS schedule recently changed. They say it's a landslide change.

Tremendous change working rural, roughly doubling our remuneration.

Too little, too late for Metro.

Thanks for the reply.

How does it double the remuneration? Could you please explain in detail?

MBS changes say some new codes have been introduced as bulk billing incentives, such as codes 75780, 75781, etc.
75780 pays $24
does it mean that this $24 is in addition to the $41 for a routine visit of less than 20 minutes?
is it now $41+24 = $65? for bulk billing of children <16 and concession card holders?

Is it how it would work now?

It depends on the rurality, but, essentially, yes.

Great!
I looked at the current fees for consultations at many GP clinics in NSW. Most of them charge anywhere between $65 and $85 for <20 min consultations. Now, considering the recent BBI changes, have the clinics adapted to a new fee model? Or have they continued applying the same fees as before? Because at present, with BBI changes, patients have to pay less money out of their pockets, if consultation fees remain the same. What's your take on this?
Has it also improved the patient flow?
