Beginning February 2019, SDN has started a pilot project to screen new membership requests. We're a community of support and shared interests and want to ensure future members share that passion.
Do you agree to report inappropriate posts? Our volunteer team relies on fellow members like yourself to report inappropriate posts. Members often ignore rude posts rather than report them. Reporting them ensures that a moderator can review and action it.
We are a nonprofit organization founded to promote a diverse doctor workforce. Those who are rude have no place in our community.
Our Values and Vision
We want students of every gender, race, social status, religion, and sexual orientation to become doctors. Having a diverse doctor workforce ensures everyone has a provider that reflects their values and history. We want to make this dream accessible for everyone, especially those with the least resources.
We don’t sell stuff, we don’t sell member information, and we have no hidden marketing agenda. We believe the education market is unreasonably expensive and this site is our effort to remove financial and geographic barriers to information.
Members volunteer to serve as moderators of the community. All revenues generated are reinvested into services and tools to help fellow students get into school. This is a community of love, support and hope… not of profit, hate or fear.
We promote and celebrate diversity of people and ideas. We are open to discussion of challenging topics, but we demand all members behave professionally and treat each other with dignity and respect. Racism, sexism, homophobia, classism, and other ‘isms’ are not tolerated.
If this sounds like a place for you, welcome!
