got my U Pitts interview today

so i got an email from U Pitts saying i have three dates to choose from for my interview.. October 31, November 21, and November 28, 2005.
anybody else get this email?

Just a note (since I'm in pittsburgh right now) - Please call it "Pitt" and not "U Pitts"!

I got the same email - are those dates (since they are the week of Thanksgiving break) difficult for anyone else? I already had plane tickets to go home, so I have to switch everything around now. Misery loves company, so if anyone else had this problem, I'd love to know.

Yeah. those dates around Thanksgiving are KILLER! Since the week before Thanksgiving I have like 3 tests and a huge paper. I can't go that day because of the 2 tests on Monday.

Why pick three of the worst days for travel? Not pleased about this one bit...

haha I cant believe no one noticed this before I mentioned that.. and I was searchin all around for someone to say something also. and making sure that I wasnt seeing things in my email.

Hehe, no problem! I actually think its just a typo on the email now.. they probably copy and pasted from old interview emails... since they didnt even bother to type my name after "Dear...." and if you look at the attachment from the email.. there is this one part that says:

"The following conveniently located hotels are offering generous discounts to the Applicants of the Class of 2010."

Did you guys receive the confirmation email for you scheduled date from Pitts?
I emailed Rose Mangold yesterday but i haven't heard anything from her yet.

I finally got the email today, same dates like everybody else. I really prefer Nov. 21, but looks like the flight ticket prices are so much cheaper if I go on Oct.31. But I have 3 tests right before Oct. 31, and 2 test and a paper due right after that. I don't know what to choose. 😕

I applied to "U Pitt" and I haven't received anything from them yet. The ADSAS was sent out to the schools on July 22. When did you guys fill out the ADSAS?

I go to Pitt for undergrad and at my Dental Science Club meeting they said that Pitt has recieved over 3000 applications this year and the first 110 interviews that were sent out were weighted heavily on the PAT section.

My ADDSAS went out to the schools on July 22 too. I got the email from Pitt two days ago.

Hey guys,

Im glad some of you guys are excited about your interview. Speaking as a first year i can remember how much fun and excitting that day was. You get the best food that day. So you know im going to be there. Please for those of you guys that noticed that typo, thats really sad that you have time to break a letter down, instead of enjoyin yourself or doing something else, anything, but picking up on things like that.

My first advise for you guys would be to please, please enjoy urselves, you got a long road ahead of you guys. Also stay positive and be excited for getting an interview, and for others that havent gotten their interview yet, be happy that ur still being considered and that you have made it this far. I mean you got pass ochem, biochem, physics thats to be look at with pride. So please guys, if you have any questions before your interview let me know. the best way to get in contact with me is to email me. im usually not on here, so pass me a note or email me at [email protected].

I just got my Pitt interview today as well. Anyone feel free to IM me about Pitt, it's a great town.

I'm sure Ms. Mangold gets about 30,000 emails a day so be patient. You might want to try to call her....she is a super-nice lady so don't be shy.

I don't know why some of you that applied so early are just now hearing back from Pitt. They have only recently really begun to crank out their reviews, since they did their first interviews on the 31st. I got my interview email about 3 days after I got my notification of reciept of my application from Rose!!
