Does anyone know if we are supposed to hear back from them tomorrow? If so, will it be an e-mail? I have a deposit deadline for another school and would love to hear back from BU before I send it.
 
They mail out decisions tomorrow (snail mail). It should come quick, but if you can't wait, I would suggest calling them tomorrow, or possibly check your status page through the website if they post it there also.

No luck calling them today.. they said decisions have been made but they're not notifying anyone yet. I am so tired of waiting!😕
 
is this from all interviews that took place in December?

i hear BU interviews in 3 chunks, is that true? (Dec, Jan Feb?)

I think there are 2 groups, before Dec 15 and after. The decisions coming this week are for the first group.

If there's no e-mail, I'll have to call the office tomorrow morning :luck: :luck:

so BU only has 2 interview rounds? so little...
 
okay, so to clarify: it is possible to get an email from an interviewer, but we think all decisions will be snail mailed out tomorrow??
 
I have an interview later this month, but was wondering when the people after Dec are suppose to hear?
 
I think in March. BU does not have rolling admission.
 
So apparently those BU decisions are coming out today....A decision on my app has been deferred, oh well...no real interest in the school/area and I've received acceptances at schools higher on my list.

I hope that some of you belong to the lucky few that got in this round!

Deferred here, too. Do they reject some interviewees at this stage or is everyone deferred?
 
did you call? or you received a letter today??

I keep getting an error too. After I put in my e-mail and password, it goes back to the log-in page.
 
weird. me too. so far everyone with an email is deferred??
 
seriously. although i don't even know if they will be updating the status page. i suppose we have to wait for an email.
 
This is making me nervous. Dean Witzburg impressed me a lot.

In terms of admissions decisions, this is what I was told at my interview:

mid-Jan
- accept enough to fill 1/3 of incoming class, from pool of applicants who interviewed before Dec 15
- reject some, defer most

more interviews

come March:
- accept the remaining 2/3 of class from a pool consisting of the deferred and post Dec 15 interviewees
- reject most
- rest placed on short waitlist
 
reject most...? Usnews says almost half of those interviewed were eventually accepted (Im assume that includes waitlists)...
 
i think it's around 44% accepted, including people off the waitlists.
 
So I wonder if those of us who haven't heard yet have been straight rejected or accepted. I'm a little worried, I really liked the school 🙁
 
yeah, i am thinking the same thing. nobody's announcing anything except deferrals.

I was just rejected outright, so not hearing anything is probably a good sign! Goodluck guys!
 
Deferred as well...blargh. I suspect that they mailed acceptances hard copy, so SDN should reflect those this weekend.

Just a hunch...

ugh, sorry to hear that. i'm afraid mine is on the way. i haven't heard anything today. this was post-interview email?

I was rejected....one of the proud few from the first batch. Be glad about the deferred status and good luck!

My deferred email is coming tomorrow. I feel it. Unless there is a poor lone soul sitting in the admissions office in the middle of the night sending out lame emails...haha.

hey, let's have some hope. nobody is posting about acceptances, so there IS a possibility that we could still get one. seems like no news may be good news today.

Does anyone know whether rejections are via email or snail?
 
anyone know if there's a difference beween interviewing today versus 1/31 in terms of chances of acceptance? I know BU is rolling but does that mean they meet weekly, not right before decisions go out?

And to sendwich's question: i don't think there would be any difference in interviewing today or at the end of the month. i think decisions are essentially non-rolling since they only have 2 acceptance periods. you would hear in March either way.
 
Me too, received a call from my interviewer at 10:45 telling me an acceptance letter is in the mail. My guess it that the interviewers have a choice of whether to call or not, so if you haven't heard anything, keep your fingers crossed for a letter in the next few days! Good luck everyone!
