Sadly, most corp promotions have zero to do with your degree or what you know.

Now on the other hand, if your buddy is an executive somewhere, running a road side corn stand is all the qualifications you'll need.

Did you know that the CEO for Rite Aid has only a french education degree? True story...

What Dr of Rx said and the following.

A MBA does not open up any corporate opportunities for you. If you want to be in the higher ups, you must network heavily, and have years of experience. In most coporate companies, after being a supervising pharmacist (not a hard position to get), there is only district pharmacist manager left. Pharmacists are getting paid enough as it is already. Most stores do not generate revenues to support a lot of middleman management.

Regardless of CEO of hospital or coporate, it is about what you can give to the hospital and company. With that in mind, you will be competing against a lot of other people for that job.
