I just got my MCAT scores today. I'm a little disappointed with how I did, but I'm not planning to retake. I think I'm going to aim a bit lower with my applications, but I 'm not sure where exactly I should apply. In a perfect world I'd like to go somewhere warm, but I'm pretty open to any school suggestions.
There are a few schools I know I'm going to apply to regardless (Rush, UIC, Loyola, Northwestern, maybe U of C), but other than that I'm not sure.
Here's my profile:
Undergrad: Northwestern Resident: IL Major: Psychology
MCAT: 11 PS 11 VR 11 BS Writing: Q
Clinical Experience:
1 year waiting room volunteer reading to kids
6 months health education volunteer at a free clinic
6 months health education volunteer at a pediatric office
Shadowed an internist throughout this past year at university hospital
Research:
1 year in social psychology lab studying prejudice
2 years in clinical lab studying depressed couples
1 year in personality research group studying political orientation (senior thesis)
EC/Work/Leadership:
Intern with a non-profit that works in education philanthropy
President, Publicity Chair of large campus service group
2 years as an RA
2 years as a peer adviser at our career services office
Lifeguard/Supervisor at my park district back home
Also, if it matters, I'm graduating after 3 years. Any advice would be great. Thanks!
