So in my undergrad, we had comprehensive exams that are reported in the transcript with a letter grade but with 0 credit hours. Obviously, this doesn't factor into the AMCAS GPA, but what would admissions officers think if a student got a low grade on that "course" while maintaining a high GPA otherwise? Would they see it as lack of effort or would it not weigh that much in their calculus?

We have these too. I'm assuming as long as you got a B or B+ in them they don't really matter?

I can't imagine it being that big of a deal

To my understanding, they care more about your total GPA than getting a B in any single class. C's, D's, or F's may raise some red flags, but no one will care if you got a B+ when your GPA is still 3.7+
