I am currently #1 on the waiting list for U Washington (my #1 choice school) but I have a private school as my back up. I was wondering if anybody out there (from other schools too) knows what my chances are of getting in (school starts Sept 17 for UW and Aug 27 for my private school).

May I ask which private school is it, and also what is your GPA/DAT scores

thanks

Your best bet would be to contact UDub and ask them specifically how much movement they expect to have (or how much they have had in years past) on their waitlist.

You still have 2.5 months until school starts at UW, so there certainly COULD be some movement there. The key is that it wouldn't take a lot of movement, just one slot and you would be in!

I'd call them for sure, and see what you can find out!

I say your chances are pretty good, My buddy was 3 on his waiting last year and he got in the day of orientation. Like the previous posts call and ask about your chances.

I'd say VERY generally that the #1 waitlist people usually get in - at any school. You can be pretty sure that at LEAST one person is having second thoughts about that school, etc etc.
