Alright boys and girls, this is my last week before d-day. I still have a couple of subjects to cover (anat, renal, pulm, musculo, derm, rheum, neuroanat) , and want to leave about 2 days for "review." I have about 1000 Qbanks q's left and the 150 released q's. I feel weak on pharm (esp neoplastics), and am forgetting all the BC and Micro I learned a few weeks ago. Any suggestions? 😛 😕 :hardy:

i'm sorta in your position (got 2 weeks left)... and i think i'm beginin to realize that doin quesitons is not 'high yield'.... esp when there are so many topics that i need to cover and REVIEW agian (cuz i keep forgettin). for me, doin quesitons seems to only help as a change of pace and to rem some presentations/specific points that is asked by the question... however... rarely does that information ever come up again when i do questions again from a diff source. kno what i mean? for example... if i do quesitons from qbank versus robbins path vers webpath, it seems like there isnt that much overlap between topics...

so its like, sure, if kaplan was to give the real usmle, i'd focus on finishin up your qbank questions. however, w/one week left, i'd just try to study as much as i can and review and review and hope all the materail you covered is stored somewhere for the test. thats what i'm doin at least, tho w/2 weeks left i still do not feel secure about it at all.

We ALL go Down together next friday. ALL in Down... Lol... (i'm such a geek) Anyways, i'm with u GrandmasterB. Good luck..

Ideally, you should be doing lots of questions and reviewing all this week. If you have quite a bit of stuff to look at for the first time, you might consider focusing on First Aid. Save the released items as the last questions you do since some of them are known to show up almost verbatim on the real exam. Good luck!

I'm in the same boat, I have my exam next Thursday. The last thing I need to review (for the first time) is pharm, which unfortunately, is NOT coming back to me like I'd hoped.
I was hoping to have 3 days to review all the notes I've jotted down in the last month and then rest the day before the exam, but I might have to reduce my review to 2 days and take an extra one for pharm... or just skip the day off.

Unfortunately, I'm so burned out that I'm tempted just to take a hit in pharm and take the exam early.

Does anyone find they they get irritated with anyone who's not currently preparing for boards? I hate them.... 😉

Well being stuck in the library for the past 5 weeks, I never saw anyone who wasn't studying for Step 1. 🙂 And in less the 24 hours I will be one of those annoying people no longer preparing for boards.

Very nice, sounds like a First Aid nugget. I find myself thinking almost exclusively in mneumonics now... Hunter aims for the X (chromosome) and he needs eyes to see it (no corneal clouding.)
Anyhow, come next week I hope I don't take it ROTA (right out the anus.)
