1 year MPH b/w MSII and MSIII vs. MS III and MSIV

Does anyone have any insight on the timing for 1 year MPH program? My MS doesn't have MPH programs, so I will have to move to another state and come back. I have been meaning to get away for the change of scenery, so I don't mind the hassel of moving.

I have seen many people taking the year between 2nd and 3rd year off, but I am not sure why that year has been the most popular time when people can also have the year between 3rd and 4th year off.

What are the pro and con for taking the year between 2nd and 3rd vs. 3rd and 4th year off? specifically for doing the MPh program or for anything?

Definitely between 2-3, right after USLME I, I dont even know if they will let you take it between 3 and 4 and take a year gap in between your clinicals.
