10 weeks since I interviewed and still no word

Hey all. I interviewed at UNECOM back on January 24th and I still havent heard anything from them. It will be 10 weeks this Tuesday and this is the last week they are interviewing people too. I called them back at 5 weeks and they said a final decision hasnt been made yet. So I figured that I would give them the full 4-6 weeks they said and just wait it out. Now I am really starting to worry. For anyone who has seen my posts on here, I really truly want to go to UNECOM. The school seems so great and I really think I will be incredibly happy there. Is there anything I can do that might help the admissions office to look at my application again in a more favorable light? Should I have my work send a letter of rec? I started the job right when I interviewed and have since fell in love with it and have been talked to about promotions and been praised by coworkers and bosses alike. The job is teaching kids with autism and other neurological difficulties and includes both classroom and residential aspects. So pretty much what I am asking, is there still a chance for me?

I interviewed on the 21st of February I believe. I called last week to find out some information. They said that we would all hear after April 1st. I don't know if that's good or bad unfortunately. It sounds like we have the exact same jobs though...I'm a TSS for wraparound services with children with autism 🙂

Jezzen, whats a TSS? And does anyone else have any advice? I see a lot of people have read this, but no one has posted. Please give me some advice. Thanks.

TSS stands for Theraputic Staff Support...it involves working 1-1 with the child in implementing educational goals, teaching the family skills to maximize child's potential, teaching social skills, crisis intervention, etc.

If I were you I would call them again seeing as how its been 4 or 5 weeks since your last call. Ask them if there is something you can do to improve your application (send in more letters) and ask them WHY it is taking so long!

I am in a similar situation. I interviewed at MSUCOM in mid Feb. and haven't heard a word from them. I inquired about my status around mid March and they said that I will be notified once a decision has been made. I am getting anxious as it will be two months pretty soon and I haven't even heard a word back yet. Any suggestions? Should I just wait until I hear something back?

I interviewed at UNECOM on Saturday April 1 and they told us the adcom had not met yet to review applicants all the way back to the end of January and they were doing it Saturday afternoon. We were told we'd hear in 7-10 days via regular mail I think. They said one page letter for all whether rejected, waitlisted, or accepted. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I just recieved a letter from them dated April 5th. I interviewed March 16th. Hope this helps.
