Undergrad premed students, please consider this great opportunity to do clinical research:
Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation will hire 12 interns for paid, 12-week internships this summer. The application DEADLINE is JANUARY 31! Interns work 1:1 with a cardiologist mentor, and participate in 100+ hours of field trips, shadowing and physician lectures.
All intern work takes place in our offices on the Abbott Northwestern Hospital campus in Minneapolis. Interns without Minneapolis connections often sublet apartments through Craigslist near the University of Minnesota campus. Transit and biking are options for getting from the U of M campus to the hospital.
Of the more than 170 intern alumni, 42% are practicing physicians, 24% medical students, 15% premed students, and 15% in other healthcare fields. 7 interns are presenting their research via posters at the American College of Cardiology's Scientific Sessions in March.
