I am thinking of applying only MD my first cycle and if/when I do not receive an acceptance applying MD + DO for my second cycle.

ECs are very cookie cutter and you're likely to be crowded out by more competitive candidates.

Delete Va Tech, Penn State, Dartmouth, ADD EVMS, SLU.
Add some DO schools if you get no love by end of Oct/early Nov.
