So I've viewed all the charts and tables with DAT/GPA averages. Usually it's a give and take situation, avg dat good gpa or vice versa.

If your sci GPA is solid, have good letters and apply early, I don't think that you should have trouble securing a few interviews. Just make sure you are a well rounded applicant, and you should be in good shape

Im in the same boat as you jack2010. Im a texas resident and applied to all 3 schools. I have a 3.0 undergrad gpa and got an mph with a 3.5gpa. i went to texas a&m. first couple of yrs killed me too, i was a chemical engr major my first yr, big mistake.

i applied to lots of out of state schools, in the 30 range. i got a 19AA and 22PAT on my DAT. i probably overdid it with the amount of schools but this is my last chance and i'll pay just about anything to get in. I bought the ADEA guide to dental schools for 2010 applicants. That book had stats that showed schools that accepted high amt of out of state students. Off the top of my head i would say nyu, boston, tufts, temple, uconn, creighton, maryland, buffalo, usc, louisville, marquette. Those are a few that i applied to.

I've done a lot of research
