Hey

How do you guys "feel" about taking 2 Science classes (Biology and Chem1) in the summer session (6 weeks or so)?

Will this ruin my GPA, or can you actually get a good grade?

Thanks

In my experience, summer sessions are easier than regular semester courses. It requires a little more time each day than normal, but two classes should be cake.

if there's a lab and if you're at a competitive university, i recommend only chem + lab...

there is a lab, for both

That's your call. My health advisor advised me to take only one. If you want to have no life and try it, then go for it. I'm sure its possible. But just know it'll be really hard IMHO.

For me, one science class was ENOUGH. Sign up for both, and if you think you can handle both, keep at it. If not, drop one (before the drop date).

If you're at even a semi-competitive school, two sciences during one summer session will be tough. Some say that summer sciences are easier, but I took gen chem + lab over the summer and all I did was eat, sleep, and breathe chemistry for six weeks. I can't even imagine trying to tackle two prereqs within that short period of time.

I had the same experience as wwdaffodils with my summer chem. While I was taking that class, I had no time for anything but chemistry even though they left out a couple topics that would normally get taught during the academic year. But I'm sure it varies at different schools, so try to find someone who's taken it at your school.
