Does anyone know how often people get off the post-interview hold? I really like this school. I messed up my first interview, and now it's haunting me!
just got on the hold list too.. ugh! at least i have other programs to fall back on.. but psu was where i wanted to go.. dang! very sad
I go to Penn State's main campus. I know of at least three kids who are holding on to their Hershey acceptances although they intend to go elsewhere. So, it's just a matter of time; there will be vacancies.
Agree with Demas...poor applicant etiquette! Why wait on them if they don't plan on attending?
Good luck to everyone who is still waiting.
1. There is no such thing as applicant etiquette.
2. These people are waiting for other admissions decisions. Would you fold your hand before you saw all your cards?
3. They're nice, well-meaning individuals. So, cool it.
4. Don't shoot the messenger.
That being said, I personally don't understand why more people don't withdraw from their lower ranked acceptances. when I got into PSU-COM I immediately withdrew from my other lesser acceptances and interviews. Penn State even tells us to do this out of courtesy to other applicants.
But in regards to what Winston originally said, I'm pretty sure he meant they intend to go elsewhere, pending that they get in elsewhere.
Hey Guys,
I've also been on the post-interview Hold List since early February... has anyone heard anything recently??? My letter asked me to not send any info unless it was an updated transcript and asked for no phone calls regarding my status but it's so hard to keep waiting!! I feel as if I should be doing something a little bit proactive!! I really like this school!
Advice??? Sympathy??? Anything???
For what its worth, they said at 2nd Look this past Saturday that they accept approximately 3x the class size (which is 145). I'm pretty sure it sounded like they already accepted that many. I could be wrong though. But I just thought those sitting on the "post-interview hold" would like an update.
Best of luck.
i didnt know that the class size jumped from 120 to 145...i guess they have more funding and donations
Withdrew from the waitlist. Wasn't sure if I'd get off but i'm one less person you'll have to worry about. Best of luck to you all!
Haha nice, did you join the facebook group yet?
I withdrew from the waitlist...I hadn't heard anything from this school for so long that I forgot about itGood luck to the rest of you!
So it's after the 15th. Has anyone heard anything from post-interview hold since the last interviews?
Am I the only person that can't wait to hear from them?
