How many I6 programs are there now? And are you both cross applying in general surgery? 17 and 19 apps seems rather low.
I believer there are 26 I-6 programs. I've applied to 19 of them. In addition, I also applied to 10 General Surgery programs,

Yep, applied to a bunch of General Surgery programs as well, focusing on academic programs where I would be well set up to match into traditional CT fellowships afterwards. Although who knows how many of those will be left 6 years from now...

Good that sounds reasonable. From what I've heard even people applying for traditional fellowships this year and next are freaking out at the rate those are disappearing

How strong was the I-6 presence in your gen surg applications? For example, did you use the same personal statement and LORs for both I-6 and gen surg programs?

I sent 1 CT letter to the gen surg programs. Ofcourse I had a separate statement. That's about it.

Yea, same here. A bit quiet on the general surgery front. I know my gen surg LOR mentioned my interest in CT surgery. Wondering if that was a bad idea.

Yea, I'm starting to worry I got pegged as a CT candidate too much in my general surgery application, based on all the first wave invites I've seen go out.

if we haven't heard from some places listed do you guys think we have been ruled out?
I think it depends on the school. I know for a fact that MCW, Maryland and NW sent theirs out in batches.

Stanford's email said they're interviewing this year on 12/13. Are they offering 1/10 if you can't make the 12/13 or is that an entirely different batch?

I got an e-mail offering the 1/10 date, but they also said they could work with my schedule if that date doesn't work, FWIW.

Stanford seems to have offered the 12/13 then if you couldn't they say the other date is 1/10, and now they actually offered a third date of 12/6.

Hey you guys, I am in dire need of help. I was wondering if anyone would wish to trade my spot at UNC interview on January 9th for one in February 13. Please, this would mean a ton for me if I can acquire this interview please.

Thank you!

In the same boat. Currently scheduled for UNC on 1/9. If anyone is able to trade me that date for 2/13, I'd love to work something out. Thanks for any help.
