I think the first batch went out on July 3rd last year.

I submitted to TMDSAS on May 12th, and I got an email from UTMB staying my application was under review on June 12th.
 
Submitted to TMDSAS on May 24 and got the email from UTMB that my app is under review on June 24. Exactly a month
 
I just got the under review email. Submitted June 1st. My letters aren't in, but do you think they are reviewing anyway? I would think it's just an automated email.

I'm interviewing on 8/1/14 and I'm super nervous. I know nothing about this process. Can anybody clarify on housing options? I know some places offer staying with a student. Anybody know if UTMB offers this?

The email didn't say anything about student housing and provided a link for hotel reservations. So I'm assuming no, but in the update email about the night before social, they might include info? Not sure.

Congrats on the interviews! Do y'all know if this is a school that doesn't offer interviews until after receiving LORs, or did some of you get interviews without committee letters/LORs? Thanks!

AMWA at UTMB is usually in charge of placing interviewees with a student host, here's a link: http://www.utmb.edu/AMWA/housing/interview_request.aspx

We just started second year last Monday, so I'm assuming most student organizations, including AMWA, haven't had time to meet and plan things yet.

Just got my II for August 22.

Submitted TMDSAS 5/20, app transmitted to schools 5/23, MCAT posted to TMDSAS 6/3, my letters are not in. 35/3.73/in-state post-bacc

UTMB Email 6/30
Letters are NOT in.

For those invited, it says they do not like rescheduling, but as an IS student who attends an OOS school it would be infinitely easier for me to do an earlier date. Should I try and ask for one?

In my email somewhere, it stressed that rescheduling was for emergencies only like a death in the immediate family. I would just accept your date, but I guess you could try and reschedule.

I tried. My email was somewhat ambiguous just stating they weren't keen on it. I don't have high hopes but we'll see.

I'll be there 8/22 as well. I'm super excited - I like what I've heard about UTMB Galveston. I will be interviewing in Temple for A&M 8/21 though, so it's going to be a stressful weekend!
 
Woo! But what a nice and efficient way to do it!

I grew up on the coast close to Galveston and love the area. I haven't had much experience with the school, but the physician I shadowed recruits new practice members (usu PA) from there and is pleased with their training. While the PA and MD programs are clearly different beasts, I feel his satisfaction bodes well!
 
I know it's a long shot...but anyone out of state receive an II yet?
 
Hey guys, my application was transmitted on 7/11/14 and still have not received a conformation e-mail from the school. Should I contact them or is did you guys experience a similar delay?
 
My roommate is from Kansas and he interviews (with me as well, funny enough) on 8/15!

@ME! I never got a confirmation from the school, just the TMDSAS "your apps have been sent to the schools you designated" email.

Any more interview invites over here? Got my "Application under Review" email on 6/30, but no word since then :\
 
Submitted 6/23, but no confirmation email from UTMB yet :/
 
To those with interviews, are y'all going to the pre-interview social the night before? Is it bad if you are unable to attend? I will be rushing to Galveston from another interview that night and hoping that won't affect an acceptance or not...

Submitted 6/17, but my confirmation letter didn't come until 7/13
