Might as well just go all out and name him
you all are too kind
Did anyone reschedule their interview tomorrow due to the snowstorm? If so, what dates are available?
do you think it's too late to send an update? also, how do you guys feel about updates to Geisel? I hear they are a bad idea
I just sent an update last week. Updates have worked out well for me. I got my II a few weeks after submitting a 4 page update back in November!
I sent an update in recently too. Don’t think it’s too late but I’d do it ASAP
In total I've sent either 3-4 updates this cycle to Geisel and received my recent II about a week after my last update.
ok I'll get it in today! thanks everyone!
Lol mine was 8 (to be fair I included 4 extra quarters of grades since I applied so that’s where most of the pages came from)
Did you email the director of admissions? It's been a week and I'm starting to wonder if it was overlooked if other people are getting responses.
Committee meets every Thursday, right? Ahhhh. AhhHHHHHH.
[refresh refresh refresh]
My face refreshing looks like the dog in ur picture
I just sent it to the main Geisel email address I think?
What are your thoughts on sending a letter of intent? I interviewed here in February and absolutely loved it. We were suggested to send a letter of intent if we were placed on the waitlist and really had strong feelings, but I wasn't sure if I should take that as a "Don't send letter of intent until you're on the waitlist we have enough going on, thanks" or if we are still welcome to send one before hearing back.
Hey now, you're an all star
try unhearing/making it all the way through this:
best youtube comment: "it's like a sneeze that just won't happen..."
They also suggested on my interview date to wait until placed on the waitlist to send a letter of intent, which quite honestly makes sense. But there is nothing wrong with sending an update letter sprinkled with your love of the school here and there.
Good lord, I had to listen to the OG to cleanse my ears. Surely smash mouth will bring us this thread good luck.
True that! Everyone likes compliments and love... right?
that was so bad it hurt my childhood lol poor shrek
Silence since January interview on my end. I guess that means I'm not "highly ranked." On a positive note, at least they didn't send out emails to everyone saying they were highly ranked
This week is officially 'mid-March' now right??? TIME TO HEAR BACK??
Side note - poor Hanover / New England in general is getting hit with their 3rd Nor'easter in 2 weeks tonight D:
Dearest admissions barracks,
It is twelfth day of the month of march. Rations and morale are running dangerously low. The infantry are huddled together for warmth in these dastardly "nor'easter" conditions. Many of us have sent ravens ahead to notify General Dr. Teddy Geisel of our ire. Please tell the good doctor that we await his commands. We hope he will have benevolent news to bestow upon us shortly. Give my blessing to the hogs and bessie.
That comment was amazing @icedude2010
I’m banking on any time after the 15th but I’d love to be pleasantly surprised but with the storms going on up there, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were a little late obviously their safety is more important than the application process. Their FB page is still growing though so maybe they are still accepting people and we’re somewhere in line.
Ha. The college rarely ever closes for weather. It has been fully operational through all the storms this winter. In fact, they are conducting interviews today.
Those poor, poor interviewees. They're probably stuck there for like 1-2 more days.
Well it’s officially the 15th in Hanover. Good luck everyone I hope that we all hear some good news especially those of us that need a win this time. Thanks for all your guys support and whatever happens it was an honor to interview here and “meet” all of you!
While I hope they do say something ~anything~ today, from looking at last years thread, not too much happened in mid-March. I suspect that with all their "superstar" T1 offers, they already have a number of acceptances out close to their intended class size...
it seemed like most of the final decisions will be out mid April- I hope I am wrong.
Just interviewed here today, they mentioned that they have 3 more comittee meetings one today, and two more between today and mid April. After each committee meeting they sent out a certain number of acceptances so I'm sure a few will hear back before mid April. They told our group we would hear back latest by mid April. Good luck to everyone.
Please, Geisel. I'll do anything 4 u bby.
Lol I’ll name my next dog Theo (Geisel if I can get the wife to agree lol or Dr. Seuss) if they let me in. It won’t be as cool as a kid but I’m not sure I want those
ill rename myself dr. seuss if they show me some love
This is some quality intel
I’ll wear a cat in the hat hat to my wedding
I’ll pretend to be a cat in the hat if anyone ever appoints me best man at his wedding.
This cycle has already turned me into the Grinch, but I'll toss in a Lorax tat if it helps.
Oh damn full on tats! Sure I’m game I’ll go for red fish blue fish
just got accepted to Geisel! They sent an email.
I interviewed back in December
Good luck everyone
When did you interview if u don't mind
the very first week of December
does anyone know if only acceptance emails are being sent out, or if waitlist/rejections are coming at the same time?
Wait, just saw this on MSAR. Does this mean everyone on the waitlist is ultimately accepted?
Everyone off the waitlist is admitted and then they unreject anywhere from 3-23 people to offer a seat lol
it looks promising at least! good find! I'm curious when the WL and rest of admissions will be announced obviously sometime before April 15th but with how frequently the adcom meets I figured we'd see some more movement even the FB page for the school isn't gaining people as quickly as I thought it would by now.
it has been 178 days since my interview and no word back yet, lol
Lol this sounds like a captain's log at this point.
It has been 178 days since the voyage began and still no signs of life.
I have a sinking suspicion that these numbers don’t check out, but I’m not a mathematician
Friend of mine applied last year and was put on waitlist mid-April. He was ultimately rejected though. Wouldn’t bank on 100% acceptance on waitlist.
Yeah this can't be right. I know Aileen said they usually accept 1/3, waitlist 1/3, and reject 1/3 post II, so those numbers don't check out.
Dartmouth ranking has dropped to 44. Holy sh**
Teehee when a medical school that has accepted me (wasn't in the past but) is now ranked higher than Dartmouth who rejected me
