Has anyone tried making their CastleBranch account to upload their immunizations to yet? I am trying to do it, but the only programs on the list are nursing - no medicine

I typed in the link that came with my acceptance in the mail. I didn't follow the links through the email, but I think they're the same. COM was on the drop down menu, but that was a month ago. I would call that number on the letter from student health that came in your acceptance packet. How did you get to COM? The link I have goes to the school of nursing too
I think, and i'm just speculating based off of looking at the match list, is that most TUCOM students want to stay in California. If you look at the match list, a big majority of Tucom grads match into a california residency and there's more FM residencies. Maybe the reasoning is that if you do FM you can live where ever you want? But the nice thing is you can control what type of specialty you want to do. Take both boards, do great and you can specialize in whatever you want. Can anyone shed some light on why most students here get placed into family medicine residencies as compared to other schools? I have been accepted here but am more interested in specific specialties
Well TUCOM California’s match list is far inferior to Western U’s DO program, and it’s quite concerning to meI think, and i'm just speculating based off of looking at the match list, is that most TUCOM students want to stay in California. They're both great schools and both match 100%, which is good. And both match around 60% of their class into ACGME residencies, which is great considering the upcoming residency merger. If I recall correctly at the Western interview they told us that about 65% of last year's class matched into primary care (FM, IM, Peds) and I think Touro is around the same. But either way, they're both wonderful programs. Go with the one you feel best at! Congrats on your acceptance by the way!Well TUCOM California’s match list is far inferior to Western U’s DO program, and it’s quite concerning to me
Thank you! I actually only have an acceptance at Touro CA, and was just comparing with the other DO school in California. It’s concerning how low the pass rate on step 1 comlex is at Touro CA as opposed to other schools, and makes me worry that we arent prepared enough for itThey're both great schools and both match 100%, which is good. Now that you mention it, I do remember him touching up on that. Is there a student currently attending here that can confirm that?My understanding was that it was low years previously but has since tried to improve itself through changed curriculum and selecting better students. At my interview date, the dean said COMLEX 1 pass rate was about 98%? Current students can correct me if I'm wrong.
current student (class of 2020) -- the class of 2019 had a 100% pass rate for COMLEX and everyone but 1 who took USMLE passed this year too.Now that you mention it, I do remember him touching up on that. Is there a student currently attending here that can confirm that?

With how short this thread is, I would assume so.Anyone know if they're still offering II's?
Has anyone received an II lately? I submitted in December and has been silence since.
Thanks, I may give them a call, was hoping to receive some love from this school since I'm a CA resident. May I ask when you submitted your secondary and when you received and II invite?During my interview last week they mentioned that they interview into May and they still had open seats for the class so I wouldn't be too discouraged. Might be worth giving them a call though.
CA resident here too! I submitted my secondary right around the beginning of Dec and received II Jan 29th. It was a pretty quick turn around- maybe because I submitted it 'off season'?Thanks, I may give them a call, was hoping to receive some love from this school since I'm a CA resident. I think it's worth it, you might really like the school. Plus, if you want to stay in California and practice in California. A significant amount, like around 85% of TUCOM graduates match into a California residency. It makes sense because in year 4, audition rotations are mainly in California, so you get exposure to those sites. But, KCUMB is a great school too and going there certainly won't hold you back! So either way! Look at the match lists for each school and see what most fits your future plans/wants.Wow this thread is small. just received an II today. kinda late and suspicious lol. already have an acceptance to KCU. im not sure if i want to attend at this point since i already payed my deposit and everything for kcumb. is it worth it to go? what would the chances be of them actually taking me at this point? i am a ca resident, and hope to end up here in the end, but would it make that much of a difference going here?

I'm from the east coast and this school is my only acceptance. I think having the ability to go to medical school in California is a real privilegeWow this thread is small. just received an II today. kinda late and suspicious lol. already have an acceptance to KCU. im not sure if i want to attend at this point since i already payed my deposit and everything for kcumb. is it worth it to go? what would the chances be of them actually taking me at this point? i am a ca resident, and hope to end up here in the end, but would it make that much of a difference going here?

Hey, current student dropping in. I interviewed in May last year on the last interview date of the cycle and was accepted within a week of my interview. I would say if you want to stay in CA it'd be a disservice not to go to the interview. Anyways congrats on your KCU acceptance!
Current OMS-1 at TUCOM and am willing to answer any questions that you may have about the program!
Also for those of you waiting on interviews, don't freak out too much- when I applied last year, I submitted my application early July and didn't hear back until January!
Hey! I know you're probably very busy but I was hoping you could spare a minute or two to answer some questions.
1) The website isn't too clear about the curriculum, so I wanted your opinions on it. Is it systems based or PBL? Pros and cons?
2) Is a car absolutely necessary?
3) I know you said that there are a lot of research opportunities, but does that require a lot of travel or is it possible to be done on campus? Kind of goes with my second question...trying to avoid the car expenses haha
Thanks ahead of time!
The master calendar shows MPH classes starting on June 5th. Unsure if there's an orientation before that.Does anyone know what date the DO/MPH program starts?
Is there a housing website for Touro students or some apartments near the campus?
Is parking free on campus?
II on 3/27! I'm really excited, but I'm worried that at this point in the cycle, it's just for a spot on the waitlist. Anybody from previous cycles know if this is the case or not?

Does anyone know if there are financial aid forms that accepted students need to fill out? I don’t recall getting any
