Austin is usually cheapest, but about 1.5 hours from UIW. San Antionio is really close, although more expensive. I can't help with hotels since I'm from San Antonio and ended up staying with family, but La Quintas have never disappointed me!

I was complete August 10. I got the letter saying they don't have spots at the moment on 9/18.

I feel like a lot of people are getting that email and that maybe my application is just silently being rejected. I want an email like that ... preferably an II, but the silence is killing me.

Per their website, last day to submit primary application is March 15 and last day to submit secondaries is April 1.

I think you’re still okay. For TX public MD school pre-match is Nov 15 - Dec 31 and official match is Feb 1. So people may drop off.... if I’m not mistaken.... but I could be totally wrong .

I believe that is for TMDSAS schools. UIWSOM is a part of AACOMAS and not TMDSAS.

Yes, it's okay! I had a small black bag just for my phone and keys. There was a chair outside each room to leave your things before you go in.

Be yourself. Try not to sound different from your application, don't tell them what you think they want to hear, tell them what you truly believe and back it up with good logic. Finally, the group activity is "group activity"; try and carry everyone along even if you have it all figured out. Pray and hope it all works out.
