Does anyone know the ratio of those that interview and those that are accepted ?

Not sure, but the interview was very laid back and they are really just checking to make sure that your app matches who you are in person. So I would assume it’s pretty high!

Are acceptances done over the phone , mail, or email ?

Congratulations to those accepted! You can't go wrong with VCOM. I just finished the first block, and so far everything has been great. The week off is also nice ;)

Hello, I have a question and hopefully, someone has some insight. I submitted my AACOMAS application to this school and was verified on 8/21/18. My issue is that I have yet to receive a supplemental application. I emailed the school a month ago and they informed me that they screen the primaries and it could take a few months. Has anyone yet to receive a secondary from this school yet? Does this seem abnormal and is this a silent rejection in a sense?

Got the call today and super excited! I do have a question though if anyone could answer this. For those of us with an MD rec letter, we have exactly 30 days from today to get a DO letter? This is what it says on their website, but I don't recall them mentioning a concrete deadline at the interview.

Congratulations! I asked about it and they said the DO letter is due by matriculation.

So I am not 100% about this, but the same thing happened to me last year and I never wound up getting a secondary at all. This cycle, however, I applied later than I did last year, but with a new MCAT score 9 points higher than last year and got a secondary right away. Not saying this will be the case for you, but just wanted to share my experience.

Does anyone here have an idea about the current timeline? If i submitted my secondary today, about how long would it take for me to hear back? Just nervous about what to expect.

Accepted! Can’t wait to meet my classmates

Can anyone shed some light on your interview? I have one next week, and I am mildly nervous about it lol.

Anyone completed early October hear anything?

I submitted 10/2, received a secondary on 10/3, completed secondary on 10/22, got an email saying I needed an academic letter of rec on 10/25. Updated school with my committee letter on 10/26. Silence since then.

The wait is killing me! Why is VCOM taking so long for everystep.. :bang:

How long did it take for you to get acceptance form in mail once accepted? I’m waiting on my now

Hi All,

Can anyone provide some insight on the interviews? How did you prepare? Are the open file? Was it easy going? What kinds of questions did you have for the faculty/Staff? Any Advice for preparation? Any resources for digging deep into what VCOM Auburn is all about besides what's readily accessible on the web?

Thanks!

It’s very conversational for the most part, but most interviewers ask questions from your file... and depending on the vibe they may even just begin. A regular conversation with you! It’s nothing to fear. Be genuine and be yourself

II today around 3pm. Received a call as well.

To those of you that received an acceptance, did they tell you during your interviews that it would take 3-4 weeks before the adcoms would meet? I noticed some people received an acceptance about a week after their interviews, and I am getting anxious about how long it may take.

Yes, they told us 3-4 weeks as well. It just depends on how close your interview date is to when the admissions committee meets. It took about 3 weeks from my interview date to get accepted.

Thank you so much! I wasn’t sure how the process worked.

Hey guys, I applied to VCOM - Auburn on Oct. 2, and I received my secondary a day after. I submitted my secondary, and was waiting for my portal to be "complete." On Oct. 24, I received an email from an "Application Service Specialist" out of VCOM - Carolinas stating that I was missing my committee letter (which I was still waiting on being complete). My portal also showed me as "Incomplete / Letters of Recommendation Incomplete." Then, my committee letter writer submitted my letter on Oct. 26. Using the VCOMVCAMP portal, I responded using the "communication" tab and stated that my letter had been sent and I also "updated" my application on AACOMAS to insure that nothing would be delayed. I received no response to this.

The Monday following (Oct. 29), I checked portal, and at that point everything showed up (my physician letter, committee letter, work letter). However, after two days, I checked portal, and I was still listed as "Incomplete / Letters of Recommendation Incomplete." I waited until Nov. 5 to send an email from my personal email which basically addressed the same thing and went something like.."I have sent all of my information, what is missing and what can I do?" It is now Nov. 19th, and I have received no response; I am still listed as "Incomplete / Letters of Recommendation Incomplete."

Has anyone else had this issue? What should I do? Please help.
