anybody know if they can provide feedback for our app?
Anyone complete in August still waiting to hear back? Or that applied Prime?
Me for both, not sure what to expect at this point :/
PGY-1 Anesthesiologist from UCSF rotating at my department said that she got her II at UCSF in January for a February date and then accepted later that month. Still hope for you!
Brb going back to licking my Post-R wound :'(
OOS waitlisted.... interviewed on November 8th so was not expecting to hear for a while.... would much rather had waited to hear lol
Accepted! Interviewed in October!
does anybody know if ucsf is need-blind? I just got waitlisted but I have avoided filling out the financial aid because I was nervous it would be a factor.
I don't think that had anything to do with it lol. I filled mine out and got rejected.
Also waitlisted. Congrats to everyone who got in!! Can only imagine the elation
I also interviewed on 11/8 and haven't heard anything yet... what time did they email you last night? Anyone else from 11/8 or later hear anything yet?
They sent it out around 6pm!
Congrats to everyone who was accepted!
So... still no news from the JMP folk?
Still waiting for JMP as well :/
Anyone who interviewed mid October for regular MD who still hasn’t heard back?
Accepted regular MD yesterday(!) and no news from JMP, interviewed in October

Hey all! I am having trouble finding information on UCSF's grading policies - does anyone know if it's P/F during pre-clinical?
Have you hear anything yet? I interviewed in October and still haven’t heard back.
I’m an MS1 here at UCSF, Congrats to everyone who’s been accepted! And those waitlisted, sit tight, there’s decent WL movement at our school. Let me know if anyone has any questions regarding the curriculum or the school in general!
Yeah I can echo this, there is a decent amount of waitlist movement here so keep your spirits up!
Also, there is a class Facebook page for all accepted students that’ll eventually have some important resources. So check your portal where you can find a link to it
Accepted on Wednesday!!! Interviewed mid-Nov.
Sorry to hear about the news :/
How'd your other interview go? Do you think it was more of the interview that was the deciding factor in the decision?
I felt like both my interviews had gone ok but not great. The faculty one felt like it went well besides the fact that he was being cautious about how likely it was id attend. Other than that though we had a great conversation and he seemed impressed with me and actually told me I seemed like a great applicant. The student one felt a little awkward to me because I was trying to carry the conversation and my student interviewer wasn't giving me much feedback to go on. I couldn't really tell if it was bad but it definitely felt awkward on my end so im guessing it wasn't good. They were very soft spoken and seemed almost shy and im the complete opposite haha so it probably didn't mesh well.
wondering why in god's name i hadn't heard back from them. randomly checked amcas today and saw my LORs never got submitted
So none of the schools you applied to got your letters? Or just this one? I'm sorry. That's one of the suckiest things I've heard all year.
I really hope they mean they just didn’t assign letters here.

Anyone complete in mid or late Oct receive an II ?
Hey y'all! I got an II to the JMP program a while back, but in the same email, was told I was not going to be offered an invite to interview at the UCSF general medical program. I can't really find anyone with comparable situations online. The JMP website seems to assume you would also interview for the UCSF general program. Is my experience normal? Or am I probably a long-shot for the JMP? Not sure what to think about it or how much to get my hopes up... Anybody with the same experience (particularly anyone who got admitted to the JMP with this same experience)?
Was looking through old medapps.com profiles and think I saw this happen a couple times where either they were rejected to the regular MD and accepted to JMP or only interviewed for JMP. I think this is possible because you do your first two years at Berkeley so it almost an entirely different program? So maybe an analogy would be like the Charles Drew program at UCLA. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong
Interview for UCSF-JMP program. Rejected for UCSF.
That happened to me this cycle! I don't think it is out of the ordinary.
I was put on the JMP alternate list today. Still hopeful, as this is my dream program! Does anyone know what the chances are of getting off the alternate list & when that might happen? Thank you!
Also, has anyone been accepted?
That's correct! JMP folks do their preclinical years at Berkeley, and usually their master's, then hop over to join us for clinicals. We're pretty different programs (JMP has small class sizes with a PBL-based curriculum) and sadly don't interact too much until third year.
Do you have to apply for UCSF-JMP together with the secondary? Meaning if I've already submitted the secondary, is it too late to apply for that? Also are they done with interviews/interview invites?
Has anyone heard back about MSTP interviews in January? I submitted my secondary 10/13 and I haven't heard anything back since
Yes, you apply with the secondary or not at all.
Thankfully it was only for UCSF and Icahn and a bunch of random safeties I applied to. Have no idea why it never went through, but oh well. Icahn immeadiately rejected me, but UCSF said they would still review my app.
If we've already submitted financial aid information, does anyone know how long it takes the school to give us our package?
Wait listed from JMP a while ago. Interviewed mid October!
anyone have an idea when early Dec interviews will hear back?
They told us end-Jan to early-Feb
Thanks! Man, this wait is agonizing! lol
