I think they email you even if you are placed on the alternate list. What does your portal say?

I've had the "your final admissions committee decision will be available shortly..contact the office if you don't receive anything within seven days" message since February. I've called a few times throughout March and was told they would send an email regarding my decision soon. But nothing so far haha.

For anyone who interviewed in March, did they mention if they send post interview rejections? I remember hearing we either get an acceptance call or an alternate list email

Oh wow I'm sorry that's interesting... mine still says "Your applications and interview report will be reviewed a final time by the Admissions Committee..." so I am not too hopeful about getting a decision soon lol

I just called, and I think my call got forwarded to someone's cell phone and I woke them up because she sounded super sleepy, haha. I asked about my portal saying to call, and she just said we'll email you soon' but didn't ask for my AMCAS ID or anything.

So my plan is just to put it out of my mind and wait.

Been waiting for a committee decision since February. I just called and was told to wait for an email lol. Also asked if all interviewees are placed on the alternate list even if they don't get an email, and she just said you'll get an email once the committee makes its decision. Super vague.

Yeah placed on alternate list in December. Never sent updates, but did send a letter of intent a little over a month ago.

Has anyone admitted to the MD program received a merit scholarship yet? If so, do you know if you need to submit your FAFSA to Miller in order to be considered, or is everyone automatically considered and reviewed for merit scholarships?

I got a scholarship and the wording in the email made it seem like a merit scholarship. If I remember correctly from what they said at the interview, the fafsa is not required for merit award considerations (although it is required for enrollment and other awards so might as well submit it asap.)

We’re thinking the wording is the same for merit and non-merit scholarships btw; I msged some ppl here and we got the same email but diff scholarship sources once verified. You can contact the admin office to verify if its merit or not

They go on sale in like October/November. At least that’s how they did it this year. They’re mad expensive but not gonna lie they’re a great flex lol
