You can be put on a list to take new interview openings because people will withdraw. I went from a March interview to Jan 28
My email said “If an earlier interview date becomes available we will offer spots on a first in first out basis.” So I don’t think you have to sign up for that list and they just offer automatically.

Very true. I just tacked on in the email that I was interested to be offered an earlier interview. I got called twice to change mine.

Just finished my interview on Thursday. It was the best interview experience I had in this cycle. They said the next committee meeting is on 02/18. The next one after that is on 03/11.

anyone know if ETSU releases any scholarships to incoming students?
Some of them do but usually just up to 5,000 dollars (which is still really good!). I talked to some other individuals recently, and they said ETSU gives full ride scholarships to certain people too! Just shooting your shot for the prize after you get accepted!😊

Do we think that people placed on hold (unless rejected before then) will not really be reconsidered until after April 15th, this late in the cycle? This is the only school I'm interested in and I'm so anxious ahhhhhh

Why do you think April 15th? Due to that being the last planned interview so far? My thought is that they review as many promising candidates as possible each committee date, but that's purely a guess.

I thought that was the date we had to narrow down our schools but it might be in May!

A today. Interviewed on Jan 28th

Just got the call! It's the quickest turnaround I ever had (only a week after II). It is early morning in my time and this works better than any energy drink I have ever had lol. Quillen was the only school I had an interview with from the last cycle (Late April). After another cycle and a couple of A from other schools, I still choose Quillen, because the more I know about other schools, the more I love Quillen. See y'all this fall!

Does the AAMC give a notification when it’s done reviewing the VITA? Not sure what to expect. Congrats to all getting a call today

Anyone had issues in paying the deposit? The link to pay keeps giving me an error. I've tried edge and chrome.

I was called today and my interview was moved a month sooner from mid April to first week of March.

Congrats on your interview! mine is coming in 3 weeks - any tips or hacks? let me know if i can PM you

***Just so everyone knows, if you get an A and try to pay the deposit, use Firefox. Chrome, Opera, and Edge all did not work for me.

So they called me to move up my interview by about a month. That made me curious and i opened the application portal and see that there are days to select for interviews. Does selecting a day on that calendar have any effect? Also, any more word on if they are kinda disregarding VITA?

So my vita was trash and I got in. They are weighing it as part of your app though. At least, that’s what they said in the interview day

Thats good to hear. I watched myself as I filmed the vita and I made some weird faces with my eyes. I died a bit as it was happening.

Also got a II yesterday, IS, LM ~67

I actually asked about this. The only reason those days show up is because they are opening up the calendar on their end to schedule interviewers! Just go with what they email/tell you.

Does anyone have any pro tips for completing AAMC VITA? Seems like a different version of the Casper video interview but I wonder if I'm wrong

They said the next committee meeting is going to be on 3/12? Is that right?

I just addressed mine to the "Quillen College of Medicine Admissions Committee." I got an II about 4 weeks after submitting mine, which may or may not be related.

That makes more sense, since he does not vote!
Just my opinion but I addressed all my letters last year “Dean Taylor and the Admissions Committee” I thought that this was best of both worlds.

How do y'all recommend I request to move up my interview date? Just email Anthony Wall?

Is this something we can do? I got a call moving my interview up by a couple of weeks, but I thought they would just let us know if there was something sooner.

The II email said that they move around interviews on a first come first serve basis, so I just wanted to let them know I'd be available to interview at a earlier time. In hindsight that might be a little aggressive hahah

Confirmed today, next committee meeting is 3/11 -- today's interviews appear to be right on the cut-off of being discussed on 3/11 vs. the next meeting on 3/25

If I've been on hold for 2 months (the committee has met 3 times since then) and haven't heard anything, should I assume that I'm probably ranked lower on the hold list and may not be accepted? This school is my top choice but I don't want to keep getting my hopes up for the committee meetings only to be let down each time.

I've been on hold since mid-October and I wish I had a better answer but I don't know what it means. At this point, I've moved on to assuming that I have been passed over and should expect a better chance of getting into one of my OOS schools where I am ranked on their top-tier waitlist.

Did you get a pre II hold or post?

Who did you all forward your thank-you notes to post interview?
