I don't know that it's malicious or strategic. I think it may be just these crazy times we're living in, both in terms of COVID and their hurricanes/tropical storms.
People really need to understand the impact of storms on the gulf. It’s brutal....
I second this. Most of our city and surrounding area is without power with restoration times estimated to be days from now. Schools have a bit more to worry about rn than admissions tbh.
For real. I just got power back this morning after having no electricity for two nights, and am RELIEVED to have it restored so soon
I hope you guys and everyone affected is okay. I don’t think a lot of people know about the storms because it’s not getting a lot of news coverage (which is crazy). 🙁

Gosh if I weren't waitlisted there last year, I'd want to do the same thing.. I was complete in late August and I also still haven't been placed under review.
If you have a green checkmark where It says “in progress” then It means you’re under review by the adcoms.

unfortunately, this pretty much happens every cycle. Cycle isn't done. I know people that got interviews at Tulane in Feb, and I know a few current students that came off interview hold and ended up getting in.
Also it’s a low yield school that’s apparently seen record number of apps. Or at the very least higher number of apps than usual. So the already incredibly small chances of hearing back are even smaller
Their process being "the way it is" does not justify their failures
I would qualify multiple hurricanes as a pretty good excuse lol, most of the city still doesn't have power and admin offices are not priority for generator assistance
I guess it depends on if you think it'll add anything. If you already have tons of non-clinical volunteering, then this likely won't add much unless its something extremely unique and interesting. But if you were a bit lacking in this area, my guess is that it'd be a nice addition. Take that with a pillar of salt though lol
