Question: if we don't get an A today, does that mean we will be added to the waitlist? I havent received an R either.
The hold email states that either you will be accepted or you will be invited to be on an alternate list. They don't say anything about rejections though.

I don't think there are waves. Just gonna hope I get off the WL as an IS applicant which is pretty unlikely.

Is it harder to get off as an IS applicant?
yeh, we got a lower post II A rate. And if u think about it, it make sense based off their stats and the fact that someone who drops this school and is IS either got into another IS A (all other VA schools are great) or had a much better OOS option, which isn’t very likely. IMO

What does it mean if you interviewed and got the post interview "hold" message everyone is talking about and never heard anything on any of the acceptance days??

Hopefully today. Usually waitlist movements happen a lot April and May here so I’m definitely hoping for all OOS peeps.
Do you or anyone else happen to know if VCU is explicit about your position on the waitlist? Would be nice if they let us know if we had a chance at getting off or not.

From what I know from last year's thread, they are not explicit about our position on the waitlist. But according to MSAR data, 75 out of about 100 on waitlist is accepted. This obviously varies from year to year. It also stated that waitlist is active from April 1.

I sure hope so...

They mentioned on interview day that they take a lot of people off the waitlist too, so it's definitely not a bad place to be.
It's worth noting that since they offer about 200 acceptances (estimates are 50 per release day) and they interview almost 800 applicants, there will likely be many people who don't even make the waitlist.

Does anyone know when they typically send rejections? I hope they didn't just get our hopes up with their email because the email I received had not mention of a rejection, just an acceptance or waitlist. The wait is killer😭😆
