anyone else really nervous to start med school? esp the moving/transitioning part of it? I'll be moving from the south and my family has packed sooo much stuff (mostly kitchen stuff) to take. im so overwhelmed and anxious. the drive is 11 hours. no direct flights. flights to erie airport is so expensive too!
I feel you. If I don't get accepted here, I'll be driving 22 hours to get to San Antonio

So it's possible for us to get accepted to their other locations? I only applied to Erie :( I wished I applied to all 3 campuses.

Did you interview with LECOM at all? After the mandatory info session you should’ve submitted your rank list of all 3 northern campuses and each learning pathway. So to answer your question, no: you don’t have to apply to all 3 campuses to be considered for each one bc the northern campuses’ admission process is all lumped together as one up until a certain point.

Yes I interviewed for LECOM, thank you for answering. I thought they only took in account of the ranking if we applied to all 3

Nope! You rank regardless of which northern campus you apply to. Bradenton is the only campus with an entirely separate admissions process. Hope this helps!

They won’t answer that about full classes. People are constantly being accepted other places and pulling their seat. So it’s a cycle.

This cycle has been so awful for me. Stuck on 3 waitlists with seemingly no movement on any of them. Currently working on secondaries for next cycle ! 🤦🏼

Planning to take MCAT in August. Is it worth to apply to only LECOM this cycle with out MCAT?

The deadline for “this cycle” was April 1, though some people are awaiting decisions- they are taking no new applicants. I would finish the MCAT (this school does take AIS) and apply for the next cycle that opened May 4 (medical schools do not begin to see this info until June/July).

I applied with my AIS and was waitlisted. Literally haven’t heard back since last year September lol. I believe they would prefer applicants who have taken the MCAT over those who have applied without it unfortunately. That was just my experience :(

I could be completely off base so take this with a grain of salt, but I thought I remember reading a SUPER early comment on here (like last May) that when someone asked adcom this same question, they stated that applying with AIS only was really more of a covid thing even though obvi it’s still on their website (Not including the APAP pathway, which is entirely different) like they didn’t expect students to necessarily take the MCAT during the pandemic or whatever but now that it’s 2024 it’s a different story again, idk how true this is but I’d def take the MCAT before applying, like others have mentioned.

I sent an update Email on Monday and haven’t received a response either. I’m assuming they are getting a lot of those right now.

Did anyone receive a call asking if they're interested in the seton hill campus? I interviewed with Erie and ranked seton hill as #2. I'm on the alt list.

Congrats! Did the call you received yesterday ask if you were willing to go Seton Hill and is that where you were accepted today?

I sent 3 update emails so far a month ago and got 2 calls confirming continued interest last month. Is it worth sending another email? I don't want to come off as too annoying.

A today, got a call in the morning about my interest then got the email at 4pm.
