IIRC from neurotic research when I was waiting for my decision, its around 50%+. Prob for now this early in the cycle, probably around 60-65%+

For anyone who did an interview with them recently , can you share the kinds of questions they asked ? and if I should rehearse anything , thanks :) !!

just i’m prepare like you would for any interview. make sure you know why arcom and why DO well. i’d make sure to come up with questions for both the faculty member AND community member

The questions varies depending on what interviewer you get, but consider it like a conversation between you and someone who wants to know why you want to go to ARCOM, why D.O., who are you outside medicine.
 
Received Secondary on Aug 24, turned in on Aug 26 and have yet to hear back. Should I be concerned?

I submitted a secondary and received a notice afterwards that I was missing a second science faculty letter.

I emailed adcom when the letter was sent in (8/30), and asked them to confirm the letter was received to ensure my file is complete. I have not heard anything back yet either.
 
if you haven’t submitted technical standards, make sure to do that! also double check the requirements to make sure you met them all. they also could just be a bit behind lol. it’s been super busy on campus with a lot of events going on recently!

I had submitted my secondary and technical standards but did not get an invite for Interview for a while. I finally received an email letting me know they did not have my technical standards. I went ahead and resent the technical standards with a note and received an interview right away. your technical standards could be lost and be the cause of the delay.

Secondaries are selective, often guaranteeing interview. Possibly means they are still reviewing it, or pushing your app back later into the cycle.

Received a phone call from ARCOM's president and he stated that I should expect an email in the coming days.

dr parker says one of his favorite things is to call accepted students! congrats future doc!
 
Are you all uploading the immunization requirements right now? Or not worried about it until after gaining the A. Not sure if its required right at this point

you don’t need to worry about that until the spring really. i’d make sure you are up to date on your shots and maybe do your HepB titer now just to make sure you don’t have to repeat the series bc that’ll take a few months

Congrats! I received a Secondary Application for ARCOM and was wondering if there is a word limit on the prompts? It doesn’t look like there’s any word/character limit but I wanted to make sure before I start drafting my answers. Thanks!

lol i truly don’t remember. i’d email or call admissions just to be sure
 
For the interview, is it that the faculty and community member takes turn to ask you questions? Would you guys say the interview felt more like a Q&A where the interviewers go down a list of questions or more conversational where they ask follow up questions?

Very conversational; just be able to have down the basic predetermined questions like tell me about yourself ,why DO, why ARCOM etc
 
Anyone else recently interview and have a mini heart attack from the Open House invite beginning with “Hello. Thank you for your interest…”?
 
i would suggest going to the open house if you can! it shows interest and it gets your name in the system so they’re more likely to recognize you lol

I was lowkey thinking this but I didn’t see they had a virtual option and I’m oos + still in school😭

it should be open to everyone… iirc i got open house invites before my interview, after my interview, and after i paid my deposit until i started lol
