+1 OOS II, complete 8/05, LM 82

Side note I didn't get the confirmation email after signing up for an interview slot like I said they would, did anyone else experience this too?

Guys how long was the overview session with Dr. Goodell? I scheduled the student panel right after and was wondering if it will go over 1.5 hours?

Hers went a little over but she knows a lot of people (at least half in my session) are going to do the student panel immediately after so she'll wrap it up pretty quick. My student panel ended up starting like 20 minutes late anyway
 
sorry if this has already been asked, but when should be expect a decision after the interview? i dont think it was mentioned at either of the sessions and my interviewer didn't say anything either. thank you!!

BU convenes their committee twice for decisions. Once in late November and another time in February. The decisions for those meetings come out in mid-late December and mid-late March respectively. Basically, BU is not rolling.
 
Did yall know BU doesn’t have lectures??? I went to an info session today, and I absolutely love the mission and focus of this school, but no lectures really threw me for a loop….

lol I had 72 hours to prepare for VCU interview as well. Take the early date! I hope I can avoid the massacre as well.

Yeah! Normally I would take Monday without a second thought, but I have other interviews on Tuesday and Wednesday so I’m really worried about burnout…

I’m sure you’ll get the II soon! 🙂

Thank you 🥺🫶! I might do a little write-up at the end of the cycle to explain some of the things I focused on in my app. Perhaps it could help some others in their writing!

Is there a reason you'd want the earliest possible date if BU is non-rolling and sends decisions in batches?
 
man I wish admit org let us report both date submitted and date complete for this school :/

I have no idea if I’ve been passed over or if I haven’t been read yet. Submitted 8/14 and complete 8/20.

for like 99% of cases, isn't date of submission almost same as date complete? I could totally be wrong though, but for the site you should report date submitted. to keep it consistent

Anecdotally, for like 10+ of the schools I applied to I was marked complete 1 or more days after submission. It takes schools time to process your secondary sometimes.

Tell that to Rosalind Franklin, where I have been submitted and awaiting the completion status for over 3 months.
 
Does anyone know if BU accepts thank you notes or if they mentioned their policy on them at the info session? I can't remember if they said they do/don't accept them and whether to email them etc.

I mean they give us our interviewers work emails
