When did you submit your primary app? I submitted 5/30 and I only just received the "we are reviewing your primary app" email from them.

Submitted 5/20, AACOMAS application was verified 5/28.

So was there ~2day gap between getting the "verified/received" email for the primary from Campbell and the secondary?

So, AACOMAS verified my application on 5/28. Later on that same day, Campbell emailed me saying "Your application has been received and we look forward to reviewing your credentials". The next day, 5/29, I received a secondary invite in the evening.

First round of interview invites will start going out over the next couple of weeks. The first round of interviews will begin early August.

Edit: if you disclosed any legal actions taken against you (mine was a speeding ticket), then your profile will need to go through a secondary legal review, which is purely a formality to make sure you are eligible for residency. Nothing to fear. But this usually tacks on additional 1-2 weeks onto your secondary application review.

Got sent to an “in-depth” review by pre-screen committee after the initial confirmation on 7/8. Received secondary 7/11. I actually do not meet their GPA cutoff at just under the 3.2 but my mcat is well above their avg so here’s to hoping for that holistic review!

when did yall submit your secondaries?

Is there any way to see your application status after submitting the secondary? Or is the order receipt the only proof you are given? Submitted 7/15

Has anyone had issues with the payment? I've tried four separate times with different cards and each time it says "unable to process payment. please try again later."

I saw on the interview tracker that someone got an II yesterday (7/29) has anyone else heard anything?

Nope nothing yet on my end. I was anticipating that this week they would start sending out responses.

Could it be that someone made a mistake in saying they got an II? It seems strange that no one on this forum reported they got one.
It looks like last cycle the IIs starting coming through early August, so it would make sense if IIs starting coming through soon

Anyone hear anything? Got an email this morning:

“We would like to inform you that your file is now complete. You will be notified via email regarding any change with your application status. Please understand that the application process is very competitive and not every applicant is selected by the Admissions Committee to move to the final step in the Admissions cycle….”

Not yet. Do you mind sharing your stats? And congrats on the email!

II received 07/29:

We are very pleased to invite you to participate in the next step towards admission to Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine!

CUSOM has taken several steps to make our learning environment even more student friendly and supportive while maintaining excellent licensing exam performance, clinical rotation success, and exceptional residency placement. For example, CUSOM no longer has mandatory lecture attendance, we provide extensive student support services, and we offer additional clinical rotation opportunities.

Extending this trend, CUSOM has changed its admissions process from traditional one-on-one interviews, to small group Interactive Dialogue Sessions as described below. The goal is to provide a welcoming environment to all applicants, so much so that we even changed the name from “Interview Day” to “Applicant Day” because, after all, it really is all about you, the applicant!

Applicants to CUSOM are no longer asked traditional interview style questions. Instead, you will meet with several faculty, staff, and students, as well as some other applicants. These are 30-minute open-ended, application blind conversations, primarily focusing on your questions.

At this point, we simply would like to learn more about you, just as you most likely want to learn more about us. After all, deciding which medical school to attend is a very important decision, and we want to help you make a well-informed decision - finding the best fit for YOU - and that is a primary objective of each Applicant Day at CUSOM.

Is anyone familiar with this type of interview style or have any tips on how to prep?

would you mind sharing stats/when you submitted your secondary?

I interviewed at CUSOM late last cycle and was waitlisted. The "interview" was super chill, just some presentations and then breakout rooms with ~15-20 other applicants and faculty for Q&A and then a student panel for Q&A's again. I never got asked any questions about myself (other than to introduce myself) or my application and overall it was extremely stress-free.

nice to know, thanks! I wonder how they evaluate your performance then, maybe based on level of engagement? In any case, I prefer this style, takes so much stress off!

For the secondary were we supposed to get an application complete email? Or is there a way to double check that you submitted since the software is some strange qualtrics survey im not sure.

“Thank you for submitting your secondary application to Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine. The Admissions Committee has requested an additional review of your secondary application by the Pre-Screen Committee. We will be discussing your application within the next few weeks to determine the next status of your application.”

Anyone else get this?

+1. Took them about 2 weeks to complete this additional review. Mine was for legal review. If you mentioned anything for the legal question that’s likely what it’s about.

Yeah I got a speeding ticket and I also got a pretty bad cars score too so maybe it’s both.

Same. It’s the speeding ticket. Not to worry. They do this to make sure there’s no legal issues for residency placement.
