anyone know why they have their decisions asap for some applicants and then for others it takes weeks??

I doubt it's significant in terms of admissions. My guess is that the committees review apps in some random order, and those that get reviewed first hear back first. They say 4 weeks because yours might just happen to be sorted into the "final review" session for week 4 instead of 1. I sincerely doubt of all the waiting periods in this process this post interview period is consequential.

Interviewed 8/22. No news yet, but will be reaching out tomorrow since that's the 4 week mark. I haven't thought about the interview much, but my memory of the day comes in waves. Like walking to the car after lunch today thinking "was I too forward in that moment?" or "it'll be another decade before I get a chocolate chip cookie that good again." Remembering the cookies I had that day really lifts my spirit. ngl

i hear you on that. i was at the KC campus. thing is though, i wouldn’t give them to gordon ramsey and ask his opinion 😂 those cookies reminded me of my mom and dad’s recipe on the back of a chocolate chip bag. my mom never got the recipe right but my dad always followed it to the letter an each batch tasted like that. definitely a ratatouille moment for me

Haha. They're HyVee cookies so I think they're pretty good considering their source! Whatever y'all don't eat goes to the students so I'll happily take the cast offs 😇

its still about 2 mo in the cycle, you are fine, just wait it out. DO programs be interviewing through march-april of the new year and sending As in may/june
