Like all corporate processes things often take longer than stated.

OOS II! complete 8/15!!

How do we sign up for the mandatory info session? The next one is tomorrow (last one for the next month) and I'm not sure if/how we find information about how to join?

I had the same question since my upcoming info session was very soon after my II, and they eventually just sent me an email with the zoom link without me having to do anything. So, I don’t think there’s anything you have to do, but if you would like to attend the one tomorrow and don’t hear from them soon, then perhaps you can just send them an email in the morning to ask to join it. I suspect if you don’t attend that one, they’ll probably just send you the details for the next one.

Congrats!! Did you receive it when you posted or was it earlier this morning? I'm curious if they send them out one at a time or all at once

Has anyone taken advantage of the student ambassador meetings post interview? If so, did you find it helpful?

I did, and it was actually my favorite part of the interview process! The students I met were awesome and I feel like I learned a ton from them. Overall it was a great time.

there wasn’t any complete email right? just the secondary submitted email… starting to freak out bc i submitted my secondary 8/20 and haven’t heard anything back

yeah, i just got the submitted not complete email, but idk if there even is a complete email lol

Yes you can log in and out all day, they'll mention it during check in
 
Can someone explain to me why the MSAR prerequisites seem kind of different from the ones on the school website? For example, MSAR says the school requires 4 credit hours of biochemistry, but that is not mentioned on the school website. The school website just says that we need one semester or one quarter of biochemistry. Which one has the more complete picture? I see this happening with other schools, too and it just confuses me.

Same thing happened last year. I would email again just to confirm things haven't changed, but you should only need a semester of biochem regardless of credit hours. My class was only 3 credits and nothing happened.

I think a key defining feature of our class that I noticed the first week is that everyone is genuinely a great person

+IS MD II ~9:30am PST I sobbed when I got the email T.T never would I expect this!! unfortunately only 2 dates available in December but need to wait for more to open bc of the info session :/ (complete end of aug)

If I recall it is possible to schedule an interview before an info session. Mine was the day before my info session. Unless admissions has told you otherwise of course!
 
In the interview invite email, it says that I am invited to interview for "the UCSF School of Medicine and the University of California, Berkeley, Joint Medical Program." Does anyone know if this means the interview is for consideration for the UCSF/Berkeley JMP program only, or both JMP and the regular UCSF MD program? The public JMP website says that interviews for both programs are separate, and the email subject line ("UCSF School of Medicine – Interview Invitation – Joint Medical Program (JMP)") seems to mainly reference JMP, but the interview website they sent seems to suggest the interview is for both.

Oh this is good to know thank you! My email said "Required for all prospective candidates, this session is typically scheduled prior to your interview day.." so it didn't seem mandatory but I don't want to be at a disadvantage having not gone to the info session yet. If admissions doesn't respond soon maybe I will take the earlier date.

Yes I also see that when I open the plot. However, I have the UCSF MSTP on my school list, and it shows me “Most Recent II: 11/18” under the school name on my list (when I try to edit the list).
