Hi All,
So blessed to have received an IS II yesterday 🙂 Interviewing in Jan, but with the how many prematch offers they extend + the late date of my interview relative to match day, is this really an interview for a waitlist spot at best?

An interview is a chance for admission, we don’t play that “interviewing for the waitlist game” in Texas 😉

First off, congratulations on an interview from UTSW - that’s no small feat! Second, you have as good off a chance as anybody else to earn an acceptance - there are several examples from previous threads where those who interview later have prematched/matched over those who interviewed early on. Prepare hard, be yourself, and I’m sure you’ll do well! Good luck!

Does anyone know where to find the password for the Facebook group? I checked my portal as well as the offer letter and I can't find it 😭
 
Does anyone know if UTSW does Preview Days / how long after you interview they send the dates for these events?
 
sigh. my interview here was alright i think—the first one was so interrogative and idk we were having connectivity issues. but my second one was also like that but probably the best interview ive ever had. idk how ill do. id love to go here

If it makes you feel better, I had one of my interviewers who was very interrogative and I wasn't sure how I actually did but then got the A 1 month later. Trust the process, it'll work out 🙂

In my request I just put that I had been accepted and couldn't find the pw- they were able to let me in! So I'd just request access and let them know you can send an ss of ur acceptance letter or something like that!
 
I'm predicting next wave of pre-matches comin out this upcoming week!!!!
 
Are there any January interview slots still left for UTSW for those who signed up recently? Otherwise preparing for the Pre-II Reject email...
 
Can anyone comment on the difference between the "On Campus Visit" and "MS0 weekend"

I already booked my Airbnb/flight for a random on campus visit before I knew about the MS0 weekend. Should I try to cancel/reschedule to attend MS0 weekend?

On Campus visit is one where you go check out before you do your ranking to decide whether you want to attend a school.

MS0 visit is when you have actually matched there and it is your choice to attend (even if you have waitlists elsewhere) and you meet others who plan to attend that specific school (could be any school where you actually match).
 
Does anyone know if this school accepts update letters? I couldn't find any info online, and the portal just says "additional documents" without much clarification.

They do accept update letters and letters of intent. These can be uploaded to the portal under the "additional documents" designation
 
Did anyone end up finding out where the password to the accepted students Facebook group is?
