Hi! I’m hearing mixed opinions about NSU-KPCOM. Can someone give me the inside scoop? I interviewed in August and really enjoyed it. Every current student I’ve spoken to is enjoying it. I’m considering giving up my LECOM-B spot for this, so I’d like to know what I’m getting myself into.

It was right on the front page when you sign in! It changed from “awaiting” I believe to the “admitted” status! I didn’t get an email notification or phone call or anything, I just so happened to check my portal today lol

For transparency: Interview received 9/25, was able to squeeze into an interview date on 9/30, and received the A on 10/17 based on the portal letter. However, I didn't receive an email with the decision until 10/19.

I feel like there are mixed reviews because some people say it’s conversational but I don’t want to be surprised if it’s MMI 🥲🥲 I haven’t had an MMI interview yet so I feel like I would want to prepare a lot more! Any insight would be super helpful, thank you!🙂)

It’s mostly conversational. It’s about 20 minutes, so they ask general things like tell us about yourself, why osteopathic medicine and why NOVA, where do you see yourself in 10 years, how do you manage time effectively, what is one thing you’ll keep doing that you already do, etc.

Basically, they have time to ask maybe 5-6 (maybe 6-7) questions from here: Interviewing Tips

If they have time to ask you an MMI question, it’ll probably be something related to your app itself. So just be yourself and you’ll be fine

Depends on your MCAT score

Higher than me, you should hear back under six, seven weeks. Maybe 2-3? But then again, Holiday season is among us

I'm pretty sure they're non-refundable since it goes towards your tuition. It's how schools get extra money from applicants.

Well after my interview i heard back in like 2.5 weeks but that was early in the cycle. In the interview they said you will get a response in 2-4 weeks post interview, but idk if they are behind now bc of the holidays. I feel like they are following aacomas traffic guidelines for deposit deadlines, but that you should ask in the interview. They probably will talk about it there. Good luck on your interview.
