to any sackler students or prospectives, will a 25 Mcat, 3.9 overall and science gpa, have a shot at Sackler provided everything else (letters of recc, experiences, etc.) is in great shape?...also what about the schools in dublin, namely trinity and rcsi,
thanks peeps

For the dublin schools, I'd say you might have a shot if you have good research, and previous clinical experiences. However, having said that...it seems quite a few qualified people were rejected from the Irish schools this year, so it may be getting more difficult. Requirements aren't completely set in stone with regards to north american interntional students. You might as well put in an application though.

Hi!! I'm not sure about the other schools that u've mentioned, but i got into sackler with a 26 on the mcat and a 3.7 gpa, so i definitely think u have a great shot! I would even apply to US med schools cuz i think u still have a chance of getting in depending on the rest of ur applications...
Med schools don't only look at MCAT score, but if not the US, i definitely think u'll get into sackler!

Good luck!

thanks for the replies guys...loerl, how would trinity consider my scores seeing they don't require them?...also if anyone else could let me know which international schools they got into with similar stats, that would be great...thanks

Why wouldn't you try an american school. 25 is not that bad it is an average greater than 8 in each section. I would try a private school they sometimes have lower admission averages. 3.9 gpa is awesome.

Umass, that's quite difficult to answer. No, Trinity does not require them, but if you have them I bet they give a passing glance. But it's not a terribly important criteria. As I mentioned in another post, some of the north americans who took the mcat have very decent MCAT scores, and some...not really (24 about). I think they're looking for things other than scores to justify admission.
