Chances for in-state MD schools and south east D.O. schools?

Not terribly familiar with the SC MD school stats, someone else will have to help you. 27 MCAT might hurt for MD in general.

I can at least say you have a great shot at DO.

0 chance at MD unless you are a URM. Good chance at DO.

Gonna need more info if you want a more accurate assessment (MCAT score breakdown, GPA trend, any non-medical community service, what college you attend).

Overall you have a decent shot at in-state SC MD schools (USC, USC-Greenville, and MUSC) and maybe some low-tier private MD (Drexel, RFU, Albany etc..) You have a great shot at DO esp. VCOM-Carolinas and PCOM-Atlanta.

This is assuming you apply early (June/July) and broadly for OOS private MD schools.

statistics for SC schools are actually a lot lower than many other states in the country. You will be competitive for the state schools in SC

Double  Please stop.

And considering MSAR, you have a chance at in-state MD schools and any DO school that doesn't have regional bias.

9ps, 8v, 10bs

The gpa included a 3.84 post bacc science gpa.

Quite a bit of non medical service like coaching, contruction in Nicaragua , feeding homeless

Attended state school.

Great. Chances are even better then.

You should get interviews to at least SC MD schools and maybe 1 or 2 OOS MD schools depending on where/how may places you applied.

DO chances are still great. If you want to stay in the SE, PCOM-Atlanta is prob the best/most established program. If you don't mind moving a little farther north, PCOM itself is widely considered to be the best Osteopathic school around.
