Hi,
I need help with preparing my list of medical schools to apply to.
Currently my application states: 600+ hours as ER medical scribe, 120 hours as a Hospice volunteer, EMT experience.

GPA cumulative is 3.2, MCAT 510.
SC resident

I have considered applying to:

MUSC
Indiana University
University at Buffalo
University of Utah
Western Michigan University
Albert Einstein school of medicine
Rush Medical School

Rush is big on volunteer community service. Read the school specific thread for more info.

add USC-Greenville and USC-Columbia

Aren't those schools a stretch with your GPA though? Indiana and Utah are state schools as well.

Rush requires at least 150 community service hours to be considered. Buffalo is also a state school and admits very few OOS.

Did you use the MSAR to develop your list? What is your sGPA? Have you considered DO? What is your state of residence? Your cGPA is really low for MD and you seem to be lacking any community service, shadowing and research Have you thought about taking a Gap year to get your application in better shape?

You my friend should only apply to your state MD and broadly to DO.
