Stats: 3.30 cGPA; 3.10 sGPA; 4.0 post-bac; 3.6 SMP
MCAT: 510
FL resident, Hispanic& African American, non traditional student (also AMCAS has placed "U" on my application - if someone can help with what that means)
Preferably MD however DO is an option
Nursing Home Volunteering: 380 hours over the past year - still going every week.
Clinical experience: 1500 hours (past 2 years - medical scribe and medical assistant)
Research: 100 hrs over 6 months
nonclinical volunteering ( 400 -childrens ministry volunteer over 3 years)
paid employment: Assistant manager at kayak shop 2500 hours (over 4 years), server 2000 hours, junior paralegal 2080 hours
shadowing: unfortunately only 30 hours hoping the clinical experience helps my weak spot here
EC's: 4H/ working student (riding horses)
essay - i put so much work into ( 3 months and multiple peer reviews and had some attorneys review as well)
retaking mcat also bc i did way better in practice tests (517 but i have testing anxiety)
School list so far:
- NOVA MD, FSU
i already submitted and have been verified .
