MD 3.47 cCPA, 3.42 sGPA, MCAT 506

Hi everyone,

I am applying for the 2018 cycle. I go to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I have a 3.47 cCPA and a 3.42 sGPA with a Neurobiology degree. I work as a CNA at the local hospital and have accumulated 800 hours and plan to work as a CNA until acceptance. I have worked in a research lab for 3 years and have about 600 hours of time there. We're finishing a study that will be published soon and I will be the 3rd author on it. For volunteering, I have various experiences with the Red Cross, Boys and Girls Club, a domestic abuse house, etc. for around 150 hours. I have just started to shadow a physician at UW Hospitals and am hoping to get at least 40 hours of shadowing in. I will have letters of recommendation from my PI, Nurse Manager, the lead volunteer coordinator at the domestic abuse house, and the physician I have shadowed. I have a 506 MCAT score and I am taking it again this May. Phys and Chem 126) CARS(125) Bio/Biochem(130) Psych/Soc(125). I am a white middle class male.

Several of the schools on your list rarely matriculate OOS applicants (NM...).
Others have a preference for regional applicants or a particular sub-group (ND, U of W...).
