Hi everyone,

I'm a recent graduate of a state college in New Jersey. I plan to apply early June to both DO and MD to increase my chances of admission. I would appreciate your help finalizing my list. I realize my stats are borderline for MD, but competitive for DO. I would greatly appreciate feedback on other top DO schools I should add, and perhaps some MD schools I should add or remove. I'm ok to applying about 30 med schools, I really want to matriculate somewhere next fall. Last post before before I apply! Thank you.

Stats:
Degree: B.S. in Biology and Minor in Public Health
GPA: 3.66 cum, 3.6 science
MCAT: 507 (127C&P / 124CR / 128Bio / 128Psy)

Medical Scribe at Urgent Care - 650 hrs/ 1 year

Mobile Health Clinic in Peru - 50 hours/8 days

Research Experience:

College Bio Dept. Laboratory - 2 years, no pub., 1 conference
College Comm Dept. Research (in field of Health Communications) - 1 year, no pub., 1 state conference, 1 international conference

Leadership/Other:

You have solid chances for DO. MD GPAs won't keep you out but the MCAT is low. Could you possibly retake the MCAT?

Penn State is your only realistic "Super Reach". Otherwise your list is good for MD. You could add LECOM (both schools) for DO.

Yeah I knew my MCAT was low, but if I decided to retake it would force me to apply late this cycle which I think would hurt my chances even more of getting in somewhere.

I see, I'll most likely remove the other 3 if I have 0 chance.
