Hello everyone,

I just received my scores for the 06/02 MCAT exam and I got a 505. Here is the breakdown:
C/P: 129
CARS: 121
B/B: 128
P/S: 127

I previously took the exam in August 2015 and my scores were :
C/P: 128
CARS: 120
B/B: 125
P/S: 127

As you can see, I have struggled a lot with CARS and I tried everything that I could to improve with no avail. I have applied to about 10 DO schools already and I was wondering if I still have a shot at any of them with such a low CARS score. My cGPA is 3.78 and I have some volunteering and research experience.

Thanks for your help!

Which DO schools did you apply to? Where is your state of residence?
I'm a Canadian Citizen and these are the schools I applied to:
AZCOM
CCOM
KCUMB
MSUCOM
UNECOM
Western Health Sciences
Tuoro
LMUCOM
Campbell
Nova

If those schools accept Canadian applicants you may receive interviews but your low CARS score will definitely hurt your chances. You could check with the new schools such as ARCOM, BCOM, UIW, RVU-Utah and NYIT-Arkansas and see if they accept applications from Canadians. If no success this year your only option would be to retake the MCAT after your practice scores on CARS are consistently above 125.
