I'm applying this cycle. Just posting this because just got my mcat score back.

Numbers: 3.82, 505 Urm: AA Residency: NC

  • Clinical volunteering: 102 . Hospice
  • Non clinical volunteering: ~ 700. Also includes a service project I founded dealing with girls education in an African country.
  • Shadowing: ~150 ( out of US).
  • Research: this is clinical research experience coming from 1 medical school and a top cancer institute ~4000hrs no papers/posters/abstracts
  • Leadership: ~100hrs
  • Work: worked all throughout undergrad ~1000+. I also had one summer internship at a well known medical school. It was on healthcare management.
LOR:

  • committee letter with 2 science profs and 2 non-science profs
  • Current PI

I agree with the wise Fah's list and suggest adding U WV and IU
I don't know about Ohio St and Cincy. I purchased the MSAR (as you suggested) and OP's MCAT is well below the 10th percentile for acceptees to OSU and UC for out-of-state people

I was thinking exactly the same thing before reading your post. Pitt might be a bridge too far as well.
